Commissions

I have many reasons for doing private character commissions. I like doing them. It's fun to see what other peoples ideas are and what they want to be given visual life.

To that end, you will get an 300 to 450 dpi scan of the artwork. I don't send originals, often there isn't one. I'm reserving all publishing rights and may sell prints, the originals or use for any commercial publication. The buyer does NOT receive any publishing rights without expressed written notification by myself. I feel that my price is reasonable for full color artwork and that artists in general should have control of how their art is used.

I'm primarily interested in working in color. But if someone just absolutely wants to have a black & white ink commission or grayscale, I will do it. However, the price is still $45.00 per figure.

Prices, Painted.
One quality scan (300 dpi)

1 figure (no background, or simple wash background): $45.00
(size is usually around 5x7)

Each additional figure: $45.00*

Background: $50.00 to $100.00 depending on complexity

* I used to give a price break on add'l figures, but I have discovered that each add'l figure increases my time dramatically.

WHAT I NEED FROM YOU:

I don’t start work on a commission until I receive a check or Paypal notification. Partly this is because of payment troubles in the past, but mostly it is because of my somewhat busy schedule. Once the payment comes, it is a signal to me to put it into my work in box.

The more information you can send me on a character, the better. Copies (ONLY) of character sheets are a nice help. Descriptions of what you want are a must! Attitude, equipment, mood, personality are all very important for me to get a sense of what to draw. PLEASE SEND CHARACTER INFO AND YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS OR PHONE NUMBER WITH YOUR CHECK — sometimes info sent by e-mail can get lost.
